REG 02.20.16 - Undergraduate Grade Exclusion 2014-04-23 14:38 Revisions required to comply with UNC-GA Transmittal #83 Regulations Related to Fostering Undergraduate Student Success. Section 1 was revised to move the effects of grade exclusion from Section 1 Eligibility to Section 2 Effects. Section 2.1 was revised, for compliance with Transmittal #83, to include a statement that hours excluded through the use of grade exclusion will be counted in attempted hours for financial aid SAP and for tuition surcharge calculations.
RUL 05.67.301 - Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure Standards and Procedures 2014-04-22 14:21 Revised to clarify expectations for promotion of non-tenure track faculty with professional rank and to clarify some RPT procedures. See Sections 3.2, 5.2, 5.3, 6.2, 6.3, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.5.
RUL 05.67.204 - College of Education Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure Standards and Procedures 2014-04-17 16:54 Revised to change the calendar of when action steps are to occur; to improve clarity in the language; to align references with university changes to policies and regulations; and to fulfill the Provost's request to clarify the following: that faculty should vote only once on each case (DVF or CRPTC, not both); whether CRPTC members can participate in the assessment of faculty from their home departments, to include whether to report an individual faculty member’s portion of the funding when part of a multi-member sponsored program, to add a statement regarding how work done prior to joining NC State will be assessed, and whether or not college level administrators (which includes more than just Associate Deans) can vote in their home department DVF.

REG 08.00.03 - Data Management Procedures 2014-02-17 12:51 Revised to define and clarify the different levels of university data. Section 6 (Data Classification Statement) has been modified to explicitly describe the different categories of data and their associated security protection level (ultra-high, high, moderate, normal, unclassified). In addition, another level of ownership for application sponsors was created in section 3.4.

RUL 05.67.706 - College of Sciences Standards and Procedures for Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure 2013-12-17 11:51 Revised to represent the consolidation of a new department, Biological Sciences, into the college and renaming of the college from Physical and Mathematical Science (PAMS) to the College of Sciences.
REG 05.20.27 - Statements of Mutual Expectations 2013-12-13 15:09 In response to recommendations from the University RPT Committee, revised: (1) to require that the signed and dated SME from the personnel file must be scanned and inserted in Section 1 of the Dossier (section 1); (2) to suggest that reviews of SMEs may also be appropriate when there are changes in department leadership and may include members of the DVF (section 1); (3) to clarify that the SME will provide the basis for annual and post-tenure review as well as promotion and tenure reviews (section 1); (4) to clarify that fulfilling the responsibilities defined in the SME is necessary but not alone sufficient for reappointment, promotion and conferral of tenure (section 1); and (5) to require that the SME define the mix of responsibilities expected of the faculty member (section 2.4).

REG 05.20.20 - Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure Dossier Format Requirements 2013-12-12 17:50 In response to recommendations from the University RPT Committee, revised: (1) to require that the signed and dated SME from the personnel file must be scanned and inserted in Section 1 of the Dossier;(2) to require that department heads use the template letter to request external review letters and that annotated listing of evaluators must indicate who proposed each reviewer, i.e., candidate, departmental voting faculty, department head. (Dossier section VII. EXTERNAL EVALUATIONS); and (3) to make minor changes to formatting instructions(Section 2).
