1. A “visitor” is defined as a guest present in a particular residential community (which includes residence halls, apartments, and rooms) with the consent of a hosting resident of that residential community, residence hall, apartment, or room.
2. Anyone entering or leaving a residential community must comply with the identification process established by University Housing. While in a residential community in which they do not reside, a visitor must be escorted by the hosting resident at all times. Residents are responsible for ensuring that visitors comply with all residential community policies and will be held accountable for the behavior of their visitors. Visitors are expected to conduct themselves in a considerate manner with regard to the rights and needs of roommates and other residents. Visitors may be hosted in designated common areas at any time.
3. Twenty-four (24) hour visitation is allowed in all residential communities unless otherwise communicated by University Housing. A visitor may stay overnight in a room or apartment in any residential community only if the resident’s roommate or apartment-mates have no objection.
4. No visitor may be an overnight guest for more than three (3) consecutive nights or for more than ten (10) nights total during the academic year inclusive of the fall, spring, and summer sessions.
